We hosted over 150 people from the Ho Municipality at Eclectic Love, Ho. Community members learned about their human rights and were encouraged to stand on their rights and contribute back to society by completing their responsibilities. The attendees were encouraged to report cases of gender-based violence offences. They were also taught to what gender-based violence and how it affects both males and females. There were great discussions during the human rights education. During the session, the children were part of a child-led education, where students of Eclectic Love were the teachers’ using resources from Twinkle. As the education was ongoing, community members that needed to register their health insurance were registered and people that needed to renew were taken care of. We were able to register and renew over 150 adults and children. Close to the end of the program, the child participants were able to get their faces painted of free. The program was successful. Questions and answers were done during the sessions, where Youth for Human Rights materials were given as prizes. In attendance, we had Honorable Princess Lovia Tetteh from LoveAid Foundation, Honorable George Hawkins from UNA-Volta, Mister Wisdom Krankani from Department of Social Welfare, Honorable Elikplim Klu from FIDA, staff from NHIS, students, volunteers, interns, and staff of Eclectic Love.
